Interpreting the Emotional Guardedness scale of the PRFS

This video demonstrates how a rehab staffperson can interpret the Emotional Guardedness scale of the Psychosocial Risk Factor Survey (PRFS) to a patient.

The PRFS is an assessment tool validated with patients in cardiopulmonary rehab programs that screens for the psychosocial risk factors:
  • Depression
  • Anxiety
  • Anger/Hostility
  • Social Isolation
  • Emotional Guardedness
It is specifically designed for use with cardiopulmonary patients.
